LW Democratic Club

LW Democratic Club members— energized by the new Harris/Walz team—have fasttracked efforts to get out the vote for the Nov. 5 General Election. The primary goal is to help residents understand the down-ballot races.

Some, but not all, of these races will be listed on the November ballots as nonpartisan. The contest to replace Andrew Do on the County Board of Supervisors is a prime example. Cypress City Councilwoman Frances Marquez is the Democratic Party’s endorsed candidate running for this position.

In preparation for the election, Democratic Club members are already knocking on doors, making phone calls, and staffing the club booth. To join the volunteer effort, visit the club booth, come to a monthly meeting in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, at 1:30 p.m. on the fourth Wednesday of the month, or contact Kathy Moran at 805-588-5141 or kmoran97@yahoo.com.
