Guest Management Update
LW residents are allowed four permanent visitors per unit. Those permitted-visitor lists are managed by Proptia software, in conjunction with the gate access system installed in January to heighten security and resident safety.
A permanent visitor is defined as someone who visits often, and those guests receive 90-day passes, which auto-extend to add another 90 days as long as the person is still on the resident’s permanent guest list. The resident doesn’t have to do anything to facilitate guest entry.
In the past few weeks, it has come to the attention of Security that permanent guests who have not visited Leisure World within the 90-day period are automatically deleted from residents’ list, So the department has broadened the 90-day permitted-visit window to a year. Effective immediately, permanent guests will now be on residents’ lists for 365 days. If the guest has not visited the resident in 365 days, the guest will be automatically deleted from the residents’ list, and the resident will have to add the permanent guest back to the list.
Residents whose permanent guests routinely visit or have activated their passes will not need to do anything, as passes automatically extend.
Security is working with residents whose permanent guests were deleted because guests had not activated their passes in the allowed window.
Residents may add or delete permanent visitors at any time by calling Security at 562-594-4754 or using the Proptia portal.
