It’s summertime and the karaoke crowd enjoyed ice cream bars and the musical choices of performers on Aug. 21.

The uplifting beat of “Brandy (You’re a Fine Girl)” sung by Karen Morris had audience members tapping their feet.

Paul Renaldi sang a smooth Beatles hit, “And I Love Her.” Wayne Urban captured the audience with “Old Dogs, Children And Watermelon Wine.”

“Rag Doll” from 1964 was the choice of Shannon Harrison. Anna Lam sang a powerful “Eye in the Sky.” The catchy number “I Don’t Wanna Play House” was fun for Erika Greenwood. Joan Rosenberg sang an energetic Herman Hermit’s hit, “I’m Into Something Good.”

People can join the happy group each Wednesday in Clubhouse 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m., where they can meet friends and make new ones. Music makes it easy to bond with folks whether they sing or not. There is a Monday afternoon practice session upstairs in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3.
