City unveils budget cuts for 2024/2025

Based on the Council-adopted fiscal year 2024-25, the City of Seal Beach will be implementing the following changes:

• Staffing adjustments. The City has modified and reorganized certain staffing levels that may affect response times for service requests.

• Technology implementation. The online reporting and incident tracking system will be used to manage and streamline certain workflows digitally. People can download MySealBeach app on the App Store or Google Play and start utilizing this reporting system.

• Landscape maintenance. The landscape and trees will continue to be maintained regularly, but with longer durations between maintenance routines. Beautification requests will be reviewed at a later date.

• Road maintenance. Road conditions will be addressed based on urgency. Major corridors will be considered before neighborhood streets utilized by fewer people.

• Beachrestrooms.All-dayrestroomcleaningserviceswillbeprovided during the summer peak season at the pier restrooms only. The restrooms at First Street and the pier restrooms in off-peak season will be cleaned once a day.

• Main Street power washing. Power washing frequency will be reduced while ensuring cleanliness standards are maintained to the extent possible.
