The LW America First Republican Club’s meeting on Aug. 21 featured Congressional candidate Scott Baugh. State Sen. Janet Nguyen is scheduled to speak at the Sept. 18meeting.
The club meets monthly in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, on the third Wednesday beginning at 5 for socializing and 5:30 for the meeting.
A former Republican leader of the State Assembly and longtime chairman of the OC Republican Party, Baugh is an active member of the community, having founded the OC Marathon Foundation, a local charity that helps teach young people about exercise and nutrition. Baugh also serves as chairman of the Gang Reduction Intervention Partnership (GRIP) which works with law enforcement, teachers, and parents throughout the county to keep kids out of gangs. He is a board member of Angel Force USA, which helps veterans deal with mental health issues.
The club booth, located near Clubhouse 6, is open every Monday and Wednesday with Trump yard signs, USA red hats, American flags, Israeli flags, plus political buttons.
One button features the Republican red, white and blue elephant and the words “I am the elephant in the room.” Another button says “Raised Republican: Thanks I can help myself.”
There are also several pro-life buttons available.
