“My heart has heard you say, ‘Come and talk with me.’ And my heart responds, ‘Lord, I am coming,’” Psalm 27:8.
This Psalm of David is encouraging as believers can see David discovering that in his efforts to reach out to God, he is actually responding to God reaching out to him. It can be tempting to think that God is distant and not concerned with people’s everyday lives but so many scriptures tell a different story.
David had a true revelation of man’s relationship with God, seen in Psalm 139:17, “How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered! I can’t even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand!”
God is always available, and always waiting for people to respond to Him. Jesus tells believers in Revelation 3:20: “Look! I stand at the door and knock. If you hear my voice and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal together as friends.”
People can learn of the Lord’s promises and care for them in his word, the Bible. Faith Christian Assembly teaches straight from God’s Word and the messages are full of the instruction, hope and the knowledge of the trust believers can confidently place in God.
