Presidents’ Council Meeting Recap
THE PRESIDENTS’ COUNCIL Clubhouse 4 and Zoom Tele-Video Conference
The regular monthly meeting of the Presidents’ Council of Leisure World Seal Beach was convened at 1:30 p.m. by President Jeri Dolch on Aug. 7 in Clubhouse 4 and via Zoom tele-video conference.
The following is a recap:
• Mutual 12 President Rich Carson was elected to the office of president for Presidents’ Council for the 2024-2025 term.
• Mutual 8 President Jeri Dolch was elected to the office of vice president for Presidents’ Council for the 2024-2025 term .
• Mutual 17 President Cathy Gassman was elected as a secretary for Presidents’ Council for the 2024-2025 term.
• Presidents’ Council meeting minutes of July 3, 2024 were approved as amended.
• Senior Director of Facilities Mark Weaver provided updates on general projects in the community and discussed Goli Installations, how Mutuals can obtain Goli’s through bulk pricing and rebates for turf removal.
• PhysicalPropertyManagerKevinBlackstatedthatalegibledrawing will be accepted as an appropriate patio proposal.
• Senior Director of Mutual Administration Jodi Hopkins provided the updates in Stock Transfer and Mutual Administration Departments.
• ExecutiveDirectorJessicaSedgwickprovidedanupdateonCINC Systems and how board members will be able to view architectural permits on CINC Board Portals. Sedgwick also talked about the Technology Orientation class for new and current residents that will be held on the fourth Thursday of the month from 1 p.m. -3 p.m. First class is on Aug. 29. It will be open to all shareholders that need help with navigating new website, CINC portals, and gate access.
• Executive Manager Dave Potter informed the Council members that the City of Seal Beach will have LW water rate regulations by the end of 2024. Potter also informed the Council members that all Mutual audits have been approved and completed; reserve studies are in progress; and budget templates will be distributed to Mutual presidents and CFOs by end of the week.
• The next meeting is on Wednesday, Sept. 4, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 4. It will be streamed via Zoom tele-video conference and YouTube Live.
