Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore Churches

The congregations of Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church are saddened at the death of their former Council President Jerry Brady, on July 28. His memorial service will be held this coming Saturday, Aug. 10, at 11 a.m. in the sanctuary of Redeemer Lutheran Church. A reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall. Brady was a reader at the church for many years, and occasionally would preach for a service. He planned the readers and prayer leaders schedules for many years. He was on the church council, and led the council for many years, through COVID, and the refurbishment of the Sanctuary and Fellowship Hall. Brady was a guiding voice in opening the church and later joining Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore together.

On Sunday, Aug. 11, the congregations will be celebrate the 12th Sunday after Pentecost with Bishop Murray Finck presiding at 10:30 a.m. The Communion and worship service gathers at 13564 St. Andrews Drive. This week, Elaine Lee will be the soloist and Carol Costello will be the reader.

Fellowship will continue afterwards in the Fellowship Hall with coffee, tea, cookies and snacks. All are welcome.

The congregations continue to collect donations of canned and boxed foods for the hungry.

The Bible Study will meet on Wednesday, Aug. 7 to continue its study on the Book of Jonah. Bishop Murray Finck will lead the discussion.
