LW Baptist Church

LW Baptist Church meets in Clubhouse 4 on Sundays at 10 a.m. for worship. This week, the church will study how Jesus told his followers they can enter his kingdom if they become like little children, utterly dependent.

Utter dependence on God is the real condition of every sinner. The helpless neediness of children is the emblem of every Christian’s condition in the presence of God.

Current believers’ praise for the Savior echo those of Christ’s followers 2,000 years ago in Jerusalem, grateful for his delivering them in their spiritual need. The Bible says God chose the foolish, the weak, to shame the worldly, wise and strong; the insignificant and despised, the nothings, so no one can boast in God’s presence. Rather, God has brought believers into union with Christ Jesus, so he has become their wisdom from God, their righteousness, sanctification and redemption. Their boast now is in him alone.
