Community Karaoke
Thirty-four singers took to the mic on July 31 as audience members enjoyed the summer evening, enjoying ice cream and toe-tapping to melodies sung by fellow members.
Frank Farmer did a fine “Lucille.” Frank Miller had the audience moving with “Twist & Shout.” Ren Villaneauva changed the tempo doing “Lady in Red.” Richard Yokomi was at ease singing “I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight.” Karen Morris likes catchy tunes like “Carefree Highway.” Shannon Harrison is fun to watch as she moves with the song “Kissin’ Cousin.” Paul Renaldi surprised the group with “All My Loving.”
Michael Berthold got applause for “Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain.” Chuck Oehl sang the Ricky Nelson hit “Hello Mary Lou.” Another old time favorite, “Memories are made of This,” was well done by David Noble. Elizabeth Butterfield captured “Daydream Believers” by the Monkees.
Donna Cooper had a big smile as members sang happy birthday to her. Clubhouse 1 is a happy place each Wednesday night beginning at 5:30 during the club’s karaoke parties. Everyone is welcome.
