Assembly of God
“Living well” is a popular cultural term. Most people want to make good lifestyle choices so they enjoy the best possible health, wealth and emotional wellness as long as they live. The question many neglect to face is “what comes next?” How does one live this life to ensure the best outcome when this temporal life is over and eternal life begins?
Pastor Chuck Franco will begin a series of sermons on “Living for Eternity,” beginning with a sermon titled “The Final Dilemma.” The Apostle Paul faced a quandary in Philippians 1:21-23 that is common to many senior adults. Residents are encouraged to take a look at this passage on Sunday and find truth to live one’s life by.
The Wednesday Bible study will also begin a new series titled “Thriving in Babylon,” by Larry Osborne. This is not the first generation to live in an increasingly godless society, where biblical teaching is not only rejected, but openly mocked and ridiculed. Daniel lived in a similar world, and his faith not only survived but thrived. People in the study will look at this biblical character and take courage from his example of hope, humility and wisdom.
LW Assembly of God meets Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Wednesday Bible study is at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The Hymn Sing is held on the fourth Sunday at 6 p.m., in Clubhouse 3 Lobby. All residents and friends are welcome.
