Tribute to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll coming to LW
SUMMER CONCERTS AT THE AMPHITHEATER
Matt Lewis as Elvis Presley July 25 | 7:30 p.m. Amphitheater Stage
Matt Lewis was raised just outside of Kansas City, Missouri in a small town called Lee’s Summit. His family would tell you that he was a born entertainer. At the age of 12, Lewis first impersonated Elvis at a local talent show. After that performance, people started asking Lewis to sing at teachers meetings, local festivals, pool halls and birthday parties. He was amazed that he could make extra money entertaining people by doing something he really liked.
While studying to become a school teacher, Lewis realized he was making a great living impersonating Elvis on the weekends. A semester from graduating, he decided to drop all his classes and pursue entertaining full time, but not before calling his father— “Dad, I’m dropping out of school to become an Elvis impersonator!”
Little did his father know that Lewis would later be titled “The Best Elvis in Vegas” by USA Today.
Lewis has toured the world and entertained audiences from Singapore, Germany, Australia, Poland, Canada, Japan and almost every major city in the United States. He currently headlines in the Legends in Concert show at the Tropicana Hotel and Casino on the Las Vegas Strip.
Minibus transportation is available before and after shows.
Koffel’s Food Truck, Baby’s Burgers and Family Ice Cream will be on site, offering gourmet burgers, fries, hot dogs, and summer novelties from 5-7 p.m.
