Senator will hold legislative town hall in LW

CALIFORNIA

T oday, Aug. 1, California State Sen. Janet Nguyen will hold two events in Leisure World in an attempt to make local government more accessible and to provide an opportunity for residents to engage with their elected representatives.

Senator Nguyen will hold a town hall in Clubhouse 4 from noon-1 p.m. featuring Seal Beach Councilman Tom Moore and Planning Commissioner Ben Wong. This is an opportunity for residents to learn about bills making their way through the California legislature and receive an update on local matters in Seal Beach. People are encouraged to ask questions about legislation or matters of importance to them.

After the town hall, from 1-5 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, representatives from the office of Sen. Nguyen will be on-site to receive public comments on legislation, bill recommendations, and open constituent casework on issues pertaining to state agencies including the DMV and the Department of Insurance.
