Meet Los Al School Board Candidate Aug. 1

SENIORS FOR PEACE

The Seniors For Peace Club will meet on Aug. 1 at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9, to meet with Los Alamitos school board candidate Farnaz Pardasani and continue the “Get Out The Vote” letter and postcard writing campaign during the second half of the meeting.

Pardasani is running for the seat that includes Mutuals 1 and 2 and will share her vision for education and the Los Al school district. For the past 10 years she has been an influential figure within the Los Alamitos School District, assuming diverse leadership roles in the McGaugh Elementary School Parent Teacher Association. As president, she spearheaded various programs and initiatives on campus such as math night, astronomy night, expert-led webinars on social emotional learning, cultural celebrations, and more.

After the speaker portion of the meeting, the club will continue its “Get Out The Vote” campaign with letters and postcards to voters in various crucial elections in California and other states. Pen-wielding volunteers will be much appreciated as well as donations for stamps for this critical but expensive ongoing campaign.
