LW Democratic Club members and supporters will come together on Wednesday, July 31, from 9:30-11 a.m. to work on projects to help get out the vote in the November election. This will continue every first Wednesday of every month until the election. To volunteer for one or all of these working sessions, contact Kathy Moran at 805-588-5141 or email Kmoran97@yahoo.com.
Volunteers will also make personal contact with potential voters in Leisure World. Helping everyone be aware of the importance of electing down-ballot candidates will be critical. No experience needed as training will be provided. Contact Moran to volunteer.
Democrats and supporters who want to learn more about the club or who want to discuss politics with other likeminded residents can stop by the booth outside of Clubhouse 6 on Tuesday, Aug. 6 from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
The club’s popular “Lunch Bunch” program will be held at 11:30 a.m. on the first Wednesday of the month, beginning Aug. 7 at the Sunny Side Café located at 2940 Westminster Blvd. Participating in this monthly gathering gives both new and long-term members a chance to get to know each other in an informal setting.
