Scrabble Club
The Leisure World Scrabble Club meets each Wednesday from 1-4 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 5. New members are welcome. The club met on all four Wednesdays in June and on the first two in July.
There were 81 scores above 300, including nine higher than 400 and two above 500. There were 49 bingos (i.e. the use of all seven tiles in one move).
Bob Ruderman set a club record with a score of 532. He led with 16 scores above 300 and 26 bingos.
Diane Seeger topped 300 11 times and recorded five bingos. Her best score was a 439.
Jim Schneiderman bettered 300 10 times and achieved six bingos. His best score was a 406.
Wanda Bemben had eight scores higher than 300, topped by a 367.
Donna Perkins and Myrna Loscuadro each had six scores above 300. Their best games were a 322 and a 351, respectively. Each had one bingo.
Club president Larry Edgar bettered 300 five times, with one bingo. His best score was a 399.
Maria Giegerich exceeded 300 four times and had two bingos. Her best was a 392.
Marilyn Moody and Sue Ann Gass each topped 300 three times. Their high scores were 437 and 342, respectively.
