COVID-19 and other illnesses continue to cause church members, staff and colleagues to take time to rest and recover. Many people pride themselves on being strong. However, sometimes when going too strong for too long, people can find themselves susceptible to viruses. This Sunday, July 21, Community Church will look at the importance of resting and self-care even during retirement.

Community Church regularly welcomes first-time worshippers, and invites all LWers to come see what “the friendly church” is all about.

The church is located at 14000 Church Place. Sunday worship is at 9:50 a.m., followed by fellowship and light refreshment. Come early for a cup of coffee in the narthex. Services are also available on Facebook or Zoom; people can contact the church office for a Zoom link by calling 562-431-2503.

Summer concerts continue with The Camilli Trio, who will perform the music of Joseph Suk, Vaja Asarashvilli and Ludwig van Beethoven at 3 p.m. on Sunday, July 28, at Community Church.
