South Side Jazz will play Aug. 11

Community Church regularly welcomes first-time worshippers, and invites those who have not attended a Sunday service before to come see what “the Friendly Church” is all about.

This week, the church will continue its study through the Gospel of Mark with a look at a challenging passage of Scripture that speaks to regret and the choices that people make. There are ways to work through mistakes and experience again the love of God that some people may feel they no longer deserve.

The church is located at 14000 Church Place. Sunday worship is at 9:50 a.m., followed by fellowship and light refreshment. Come early for a cup of coffee in the narthex. Services are also available on Facebook or Zoom; people can contact the church office for a Zoom link by calling 562-431-2503.

Community Church’s summer concerts continue with featured guests, the South Side Jazz group on Sunday, Aug. 11, at 3 p.m. in the Edgar Hall. The patio will be open for dancing.
