Members lauded for losing weight
WA-RITE CLUB
The Wa-Rite Club, a woman’s weight-loss club, meets on Friday mornings from 9-10 in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. Weigh-ins are from 8-8:45. Dues are $10 a year, plus 10 cents upon signing in. That dime goes to the person who lost the most weight that week. LW ID cards must be shown.
This week, members lost a total of 4.5 pounds. The biggest loser was Jeanette Williams, who lost 1 pound, attributing it to her connection with everyone in the group, which is “extremely powerful!”
Melinda Lee, who has been a member since 2008, won her Bachelor of Goal Weight Certificate of Achievement award.
Since it was a share day, there was no speaker. Judy Chambers’ quote of the week said it all: “Give yourself more credit. You’re doing the best you can!”
