LW Baptist
LW Baptist will study how Jesus pictures his church, as many lampstands shining across the darkness of this world on Sunday, July 14, in Clubhouse 4 at 10 a.m.
In A.D. 51, Jesus had the apostle Paul plant a church in Corinth. It was the chief city of Southern Greece, a famed trade center with two seaports, providing a stone-paved roadway between the Aegean and the Adriatic. The flow of merchants, sailors and military crossing the route brought hundreds of people daily to hear the good news of Jesus. Paul wrote to the Corinthians to beware of lapsing into their former worldly ways and to continue to light the darkness. His letter expressed the love of Christ for people in what has come to be known as the “Love Chapter.”
