Assembly of God
No one likes to have lies told about them or to receive verbal or physical abuse or criticism. Followers of Christ in countries where Christianity is not preferred or even outlawed are often ostracized from society, disowned by their families, or even killed for professing their faith. So why would God called the persecuted blessed? What is the blessing that the persecuted receive, and is it worth what they sacrifice? People can examine these questions this coming Sunday, July 14, when Pastor Chuck Franco continues his series in the Beatitudes from Matthew 5:10-12.
The Wednesday morning class is studying “Hebrews,” a video series by Derwin Gray. Session six is titled “Confident Christianity.” Christians can be confident in their faith and testimony as they grow into maturity and deeper understanding of who they are in Christ. This session builds on the previous sessions as the class discovers why “Jesus is better.” The video session is followed by class interaction and discussion, moderated by Pastor Chuck. This study will help people rediscover who Jesus is and the impact a relationship with him can have on one’s life.
