Assembly of God
Pastor Chuck Franco will continue Assembly of God’s current series from the Beatitudes with a message titled “Peacemakers Are Blessed.”
Causing strife, confusion and unrest is easier than making peace. Making peace is a rare ability, though people worldwide claim to desire a peaceful existence. The personal cost of peace and the means by which peace is achieved will be examined in the sermon this week, based on Matthew 5:9.
The Wednesday morning class is studying “Hebrews,” a video series by Derwin Gray. Session five’s topic is “Jesus’ Work.” Jesus was not just a historical figure who claimed authority from God and performed tricks and illusions to attract attention. Being fully God and fully man, Jesus achieved what only He could. Becoming the perfect sacrifice, he redeemed fallen mankind and set right the relationship that had been ruined by sin. LWers can discover what that means on a personal level this week. The video session is followed by class interaction and discussion, moderated by Pastor Chuck.
