There are many opportunities today to fall into fear and worry. But there is an antidote available. The Bible has a lot to say about fear and worry, and what Christians should do when these feelings try to overtake them. 2 Timothy 1:7 assures believers that “God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and love and a sound mind.” When fear and worry threaten believers, they should look to the word of God and find the answer.

In Matthew 6:31-33 Jesus says,“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat?’ ‘What will we drink?’ ‘What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and He will give you everything you need.”

Believers can seek the kingdom of God by reading the Bible and implementing its wisdom into everyday life, and coming into fellowship with others who are seeking the same thing. Faith Christian Assembly teaches Bible-based messages weekly. Visitors will encounter praying, caring and friendly church members who are “seeking the Kingdom of God” and a way of life that leads to “power, love and a sound mind.” LWers are welcome to attend service this Sunday, June 30, at 10:30 a.m. There is also a midweek Bible study each week on Wednesdays at 11 a.m., where Pastor Sheri Leming dives deeper into the Word.
