Town hall rescheduled for July 19

A town hall to discuss transportation options in Leisure World has been rescheduled. The delay will provide time to expand the presentation to include other transportation options, including revamping existing on-site Minibus service and reviewing other shuttle services.

On May 28, the 2023-24 GRF Board tabled a motion to outsource transportation to an app-based shuttle service in its last official meeting of the term. The 2024-25 board, which includes four new members, was seated on June 11.

Newly installed GRF President Janet Isom decided to reschedule the June 21 town hall to give incoming members time to review the issue and broaden the scope of the presentation.

The GRF Board was scheduled to vote on the issue in a June 24 meeting, which was also canceled.

The town hall is now scheduled for Friday, July 19, at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse 4.
