The Rainbow Sisters Club thanks those who attended the picnic on June 8. New friendships were begun over burgers, hot dogs and potluck dishes.
Thanks also goes to Gasper Monteer Realty Group for donating water, chips and tote bags for the picnic.
The club is looking to embrace all members of the LGBTQ+ community in Leisure World. A new group is being formed and will be known as The Rainbow Community. Events for men, women, and co-ed will be planned.
People can help for the future by giving feedback as to what types of events they would like to see. Possibilities include miniature golf, bowling, a day trip, game nights, dinner, movies or the theater.
