LW Women’s Golf Club
The LW Women’s Golf Club plays a nine-hole tournament every Tuesday morning. First tee time is 7:30. Play is usually completed by 10. All Leisure World women are invited to join the club by stopping by the starter shack to obtain information. Annual dues are $25. Beginners and tour pros are all welcome.
Sophia Kim, with a low gross of 81, was named the club champion at the June 4 luncheon after a three-week tournament that was held in May.
Other winners were: A flight: Jessica Choi, 87, low gross; Lisa Kim, 72, low net.
B flight: Margie Thompson, 99, low gross; Nancy Tye, 76, low net. C flight: Patty Littrell, 101, low gross; Cecilia Han, 74, low net. D flight: Lynn Baidack, 104, low gross; Neva Senske, 70, low net. Forty-one women played the Turtle Lake course for the weekly tournament on June 11. Play for the day was low gross, low net and birdies.
