LW Men’s Golf League

The Leisure World Men’s Golf League members played at the 5,800-yard par-71 River View Golf Course in Santa Ana on June 7 and 10. The course is very good condition.

On June 7 there were six players and birdies were carded by Chris Lankford and Dave LaCascia. Gary Stivers was closest to the pin on the 100-yard par-3 ninth hole. LaCascia also had the fewest putts for the round.

June 7 winners: LaCascia, 6 under 65, first place; Stivers, Lankford and Bob Munn, 3 under 68, second; Fujio Norihiro and Sam Choi, third.

On June 10 there were eight players plus a guest and new member Seon Kim. Stivers had fewest putts in the A flight while Bill Zurn had fewest in the B. LaCascia was closest to the pin on the 100-yard par-3 ninth hole. There was one birdie by Lankford.

A flight winners: LaCascia, 4 under 67, first place; Stivers and Lankford, 3 under 68, second; Choi and Larry Hillhouse, 1 under 70, third; Norihiro, even par 71, fourth.

B flight winners: Bill Zurn, first place; Tom Ross, second.

The Monday and Friday golf leagues play at four local courses. Reservations are required with a sign-up sheet available at each round.
