City to host pet licensing events

The City of Seal Beach will host two pop-up dog licensing events in Leisure World on Saturday, June 22, from noon-6 p.m. in Clubhouse 6 and Friday, June 28, from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at the Leisure World Health Options Expo. The city’s designated animal shelter, WAGS, will also be on site June 28 to provide free microchipping.

Per GRF Pet Rule 7501, Article II, pets must be registered with the Stock Transfer Office before being brought onto Mutual premises, and updated annually. The Mutual Pet Registration Form can be picked up at the Stock Transfer Office.

To license a pet, the pet’s rabies vaccine must be up to date. License fees for altered dogs are $44 for a one-year license, and $136 for unaltered dogs.

These fees are discounted for seniors 65 or older ($22 for an altered dog or $68 for an unaltered dog).

People can purchase new or renewal licenses online at www. petdata.com/sealbeach.
