The LW Democratic Club’s monthly Voter Information Series on June 19 will be on the history of fascism, focusing on the question, “Is America Ripe for Fascism Today?”

The June 26 Democratic Club membership meeting will include a presentation on California’s end of life legislation. The July 23 meeting will include a presentation on the California Democratic Party’s role in the November 2024 General Election by the party’s vice-chair Betty Yee.
The club’s popular Lunch Bunch program will be held on the first Wednesday of every month, beginning Aug. 7 at the Sunny Side Café, at 2940 Westminster Blvd. Participating in this monthly gathering gives both new and long-term members a chance to get to know each other in an informal setting. Advance reservations are not necessary.
Democrats and supporters who want to learn more about the club or discuss politics in general, can stop by the club booth outside of Clubhouse 6 on the first Tuesday of every month from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Club members interested in serving on the 2025/2026 board of directors should contact the nominating committee chair Virginia Melville at Vdevinebni@ aol.com for a list of positions open for election.
