Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore
Redeemer Lutheran and St. Theodore Churches was honored to welcome a new member into the family of God as Holly Lynn Amireh was baptized on May 19, Pentecost Sunday.
Amireh was with her parents, Nicholas and Wendy Amireh and her cousins, Ryan and Paige Mize, who are also her godparents. She is the great-granddaughter of a longtime church member, Juanita Townsend.
On Sunday, June 2, the congregations of Redeemer Lutheran Church and St. Theodore of Canterbury Episcopal Church will celebrate the Second Sunday after Pentecost and will be welcome back Rev. Steve Beckham, who will preside for the next two Sundays.
The Communion and worship service gathers every Sunday at 10:30 a.m. in the sanctuary at 13564 St. Andrews Drive. All are welcome to attend.
The congregations continue to collect donations of canned and boxed foods for the hungry.
After the service, people are welcome to join the coffee fellowship in the Fellowship Hall for coffee, tea, cookies and snacks.
The Bible study continues on June 5 at noon in the Fellowship Hall. Pastor David Andersen will lead the discussion. The group is looking at 10 of Jesus’ miracles alongside a study book. People are encouraged to bring a Bible, a friend, and their own lunch.
