Join the “get-out-the-vote” postcard writing campaign on June 6
SENIORS FOR PEACE
The Seniors For Peace Club will meet on Thursday, June 6, at 2 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9. With the importance of this year’s elections first and foremost in many people’s thoughts, the club will host another postcard-and-letter-writing party. The focus will be to encourage widespread voter participation.
Pundits are saying voter turnout is not expected to be as high as in 2020, so writing a personal note to individual voters could make a big difference, and writing postcards is a fun and sociable way to contribute to election efforts.
The event will take place from 2-4 p.m., and people can participate for the whole two hours or any portion that is convenient for them.
Postcards, printed letters, stamps and envelopes will be provided along with nourishing snacks to energize participants.
Donations for the cost of stamps will be much appreciated by the club as they intend to keep up this campaign right up to election time in November.
