American Legion Post and Auxiliary honor member

The American Legion Post 327 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit 327 showed appreciation at the May 20 meeting to member Joyce Szor for her extraordinary dedication in obtaining over 500 signatures on a petition to reinstate the indoor flea market in Clubhouse 2. The flea market is a tradition that has been held in Leisure World for over 20 years.

Thanks to Szor’s efforts, the American Legion Post 327, American Legion Auxiliary Unit 327 and local Sea Cadets will team up and have an indoor flea market in Clubhouse 2 on July 13 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

Sign ups for the flea market will be held in Clubhouse 2 on June 18 from 8-10:30 a.m. The proceeds from the flea market fundraiser, including the sales from the food, will aid local and homeless veterans programs, including the Orange County Rescue Mission, Fisher House, Coast Guard Families,and the Navel Sea Cadets to name a few.
