LW Shuffleboard Club visits Laguna Woods Village courts
On April 17, nine LW Shuffleboard Club members drove to Laguna Woods Village to test out their courts and find ways to make the LW shuffleboard court better. As a result, the LW club discovered that implementing some procedures in place could improve the games process. The LW court buildings, however, provide the most pleasant environment for people to practice and socialize.
The first meeting of the spring madness teams on April 19 included four two-person teams playing five games. Everyone left with at least a couple of strategies for developing their shuffleboard skills. Additional newcomers are invited to come by on Wednesday, April 26, at 1:30 p.m. For more information, call the club’s chairperson Doris Morton at 714-330-4609.

On April 21, the Friday morning league played a total of 24 games with four teams. Everyone was in a good mood with the bright blue sky and almost no wind.
The Hot Rods wrecked the Smashers winning eight games out of 12. The all-game winners for the Hot Rods were Ellie West, Harshad Patel, John Mount, and newest member Laura Garcia. The all-game winner for the Smashers was Milly Larsen.
