Photo Arts Club
The next meeting of the Photo Arts Club will be on Thursday, Feb. 9, at 1:30 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 9.
The assignment is to take a head and shoulders photo with a supporting element, such as a tennis player with the tennis racket. Make sure the eyes face the camera and are sharply focused.
Members are invited to send four photos to Ben Benjamins at benbenjamins@hotmail.com to be shown at the meeting.
A Facebook page has been created for all LW residents interested in photography. On Facebook, look for “Photographic Arts Club of Leisure World.” This is a private page to avoid outside ads and comments. To join, hit the “Join” button, and LW residents will be approved. Feel free to post your favorite photos. In the “comments” section, people can ask questions about cameras, iPhones or photography in general. A quick response will be provided.
People are encouraged to bring photos of their choice to be displayed and to be commented on at the meeting.
Hooks will be available for those who wish to bring photos in a 16x20 inch black frame to be hung in the hallway of Clubhouse 3.
Individuals with technical or other questions will be paired with someone who can help them for individual discussion after the meeting. Everyone is welcome.
