Security Services Director Victor Rocha will speak on Friday
The Sunshine Club will hold a meeting on Friday, Jan. 13, at 10 a.m. with GRF Security Services Director Victor Rocha, as the featured speaker. Rocha will give the club a review of the Security Department.
Rocha has over 30 years of law enforcement, security, and safety experience. He has worked as a police officer and detective with the Los Angeles Police Department. In addition, he has provided security assessments for businesses, schools, and HOA’s throughout the United States.
Rocha is a member of the Association of Threat Assessment Professionals. He graduated with a bachelors’ degree in criminal justice from California State University, Fullerton.
After his presentation, he will open up for a questionand- answer period regarding any aspect of Security. After Rocha,pharmacist Naomi Bahn will speak on her interest in ambulatory care, community pharmacy, and social and health equity on Jan. 20. On Jan. 27, the GRF Emergency and Safety Coordinator Eloy Gomez and Laverne Haller will speak about “Go Bags.”
The topic of each speaker’s presentation will be announced in the LW Weekly. The Sunshine Club meets every Friday in Clubhouse 3, Room 2, from 10 a.m.-noon. There are no membership dues; everyone in LW is welcome to join.
The Sunshine Club began in January 2012 with the mission of “Building Bridges For A Brighter Leisure World.” The club frequently invites guest speakers from Leisure World’s GRF departments so residents could get familiar with each system within the community. The club also invites guest speakers from outside LW.
