Faith Christian Assembly
“Hezekiah received the letter from the messengers and read it. Then he went up to the temple of the Lord and spread it out before the Lord. And Hezekiah prayed to the Lord” 2 Kings 19:14-15. In a time when unsettling reports seem to come often, the lesson in this scripture is still as current today as it was then.
Just as Hezekiah spread the concerning letter before the Lord, believers can also spread their concerns before him, whether on paper such as a doctor’s report or a financial concern, or something troubling in the heart and on the mind.
“Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus” Philippians 4:6-7.
