Karaoke Club
Tino Tupas started the Wednesday karaoke party with a smooth rendition of “Because I Love You.” Ren Villaneauva sang a passionate “Story of My Life.” First-time singer Irene Chapnick gave us the familiar pop hit “April Love.” Anna Le sang a strong “I Will Survive.” Susan Kelleghan and Kenny Notorleva were a hit with “All I Ask of You.” Ginger Freed wearing a shiny belt and hat sang “Rhinestone Cowboy.” A delightful “There’s a Kind of Hush” was done by Julie Nulad. Sally Glausser charmed with “I Enjoy Being a Girl.” Rockin’ the room with fun and lively tunes were Wayne Urban, Vito Villamor, Nina DeRosa, Rob Illingsworth, Bob Barnum, Karen Morris, Eric Voge, Vinny Correnti, Erika Greenwood and Arleen Cullison.
It was a busy evening with 35 folks entertaining. Subway sandwiches and ice cream bars were enjoyed as well. People can join the group each Wednesday in Clubhouse 1 at 5:30 p.m. The quality and enthusiasm of the singers often exceeds expectations. A dozen folks practice their tunes on Monday upstairs in Clubhouse 6 from 1-3 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
