LW Baptist Church meets in Clubhouse 4 at 9:15 a.m. for Sunday school with Don Absher on Oct. 31. Sunday worship begins at 10 a.m. with the worship song, “Leaning on the Everlasting Arms,” expressing the messsage’s theme. In Luke 18, Jesus tells two stories about believing prayer and draws two series of contrasts. The stories describe a respected Pharisee and a despised tax collector praying, as well as a persistent widow and a crooked judge. The two lessons are that a believer’s faith must be in God, not in themselves, and that faith in God must inspire believers to keep praying without growing weary. The men meet for fellowship and study on the Sermon on the Mount on Mondays at 10 a.m.

The midweek meeting is held Wednesday at 3 p.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 1. It will explore Malachi’s prophecy in chapter 2 on God’s matchless family design. For more information, call
