Faith Christian Assembly
Faith Christian Assembly’s prison ministry spotlight service was a well attended and thoroughly enjoyed event. Those who attended heard about God’s present day miracles. Earlene Leming, who played prison pianos for 30 years, performed and the women from her book, “The Higher Call,” shared their stories.
One of the speakers, Suzy, had placed a pair of tennis shoes that belonged to her on the piano lid. Printed on bottom of each shoe was the word “freedom.” Suzy had been sentenced to life without parole and was wrongly incarcerated for 17 years. While still in prison, she wrote her destiny on each of her shoes. Her presence at service was the evidence to the miracle of the freedom she now experiences.
Suzy and Viola were both in the Lifers Leadership Class taught by Leming at Valley State Prison. It was Viola’s dream to provide aftercare homes for women recently released from prison. That night, proof of the reality of her vision was on display during a photo presentation by a member of the Aglow Prison Ministry Board. Those in attendance were inspired to believe in God to provide for their own miracles.
Sunday service times at Faith Christian Assembly are at 10:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. The pre-service prayer is Saturday at 5 p.m., and the midweek Bible study is held on Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Grief Share also meets every Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. in the Garden Room.
