Assembly of God
Laurence J. Peter said, “Speak when you are angry, and you’ll make the best speech you’ll ever regret.” Minor differences of opinion can be blown up into major conflagrations when one gives vent to anger. Everyone gets angry. How one manages anger can influence every part of life, from interpersonal relationships to one’s health and longevity.
Since God is the one who created humans, it makes sense that he would have something to say about anger. Proverbs 29:11 says, “A fool gives full vent to his anger; but a wise man keeps himself under control.” It is a wise thing to ask where you fit in that continuum, one who is foolish or one who is wise.
As Pastor Chuck Franco continues the sermon series in Psalms, he will use Psalm 2:1-12, which talks about the anger of the ungodly, for the message on Sunday, Oct. 31, at 10:30 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. Join Leisure World Assembly of God for a challenging message, traditional worship music and powerful prayer.
The Bible study group will complete session six and begin session seven in Colossians on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in Clubhouse 3, Room 2. The study will focus on chapters 3:1-17 and 3:18-4:1. This interactive Bible study is prompting excellent questions, discussion and testimony from the participants.
As Leisure World moves forward through the current COVID restrictions, we anticipate returning to more of our regular activities. Please consult the bulletin for updates, or check the website, lwassemblyofgod. com, for calendar changes and additions.
