Cindy Tostado is a licensed clinical social worker for the Golden Rain Foundation and the member resource and assistance liaison since 2015. She provides supportive services to the Mutual Corporations and individual members in the Leisure World, Seal Beach, community.
Tostado will be speaking about her role in Leisure World and her commitment to improving the quality of life for LW residents at the Sunshine Club’s next Zoom meeting on Friday, Feb. 5, at 10 a.m.

Tostado graduated with a master’s of social work from California State University Long Beach and became licensed in 2016. She has spent the majority of her career with older adults and hospice services. Cindy’s passion is to help and guide older adults and families toward understanding options for care and support.
The Sunshine Club will host four speakers over Zoom this month. Three doctors, including Dr. Medhat Mikhael, chief of pain medicine at Hoag Memorial and Orange Coast Memorial hospitals, will give a presentation on Feb. 12; Charity Kopp, practice manager of OptumcCare Medical Group will be for the Feb. 19; and Leyla Ali, pharmacist and author of the book “Off Balance” will be the final speaker on Feb. 26.
The Sunshine Club often has LW leaders come to meetings to introduce their organizations to the group. It also invites a wide variety of specialists from outside Leisure World to share their experiences and ideas with club members.
