Assembly of God

Pastor Sam Pawlak will deliver a message on righteousness this Sunday. While the Amphitheater is closed, DVDs of the weekly message will be distributed to members throughout Leisure World. This was done for many weeks in the past and very well-received for helping members keep the connection with the body of Christ.
Log on to Facebook each Sunday at 10 a.m. to hear Pastor Sam’s devotion of encouragement.
Pastor Sam’s last Sunday with the Assembly of God will be on Dec. 13; watch for further announcements on how he will share and reminisce with the congregation about his and Pat’s four years of ministry among us.
What is righteousness? The word’s definition is “the quality of being morally right or justifiable.” This means believers are justified, declared righteous, because their sins are cleansed by Jesus, including past, present and future sin.
Once a person has repented, he or she is covered by God’s grace.
Righteousness is a gift we receive, not a reward we achieve. Read Romans 5:17 to learn more “My God shall supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19). As Billy Graham stated in a devotion, “Don’t tell me that God can supply man with an abundance of everything material and yet will let him starve spiritually. He will satisfy the hunger and thirst of those who desire his righteousness because he loves the world with an undying affection.”
