Even in the new normal we have a reason to celebrate, after all, how often do we have the opportunity to celebrate the 100 year birthday of one of our Leisure World residents?
Community Church, through the efforts of congregant Sandy Walker and her family, wasn’t going to let this big day for Thelma Kieffer pass without a proper celebration, even in this unsettling and uncertain time of the COVID-19 pandemic. The guest of honor, Thelma Kiefer, adorned with tiara and sash, was seated under a decorated arch. Party guests passed by on foot, scooter, golf cart, walker or car. Guests were able get out, chat with Thelma and see the masked faces of friends they had missed these past months. Thelma shared that she was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and friendship.
