Bolsa Bridge to be demolished
405 FREEWAY
The Orange County Transportation Authority, in cooperation with Caltrans, is widening the San Diego Freeway (I-405) between SR-73 and I-605. The project is improving 16 miles of I-405 between the SR-73 freeway in Costa Mesa and I-605 near the Los Angeles County line. Construction updates are as follows:
• Bolsa Chica Road Bridge Demolition
The Bolsa Chica Road Bridge demolition is scheduled for June 19 and June 20. Crews shifted traffic to the new side of the Bolsa Chica Road bridge over I-405 in Westminster last week. The I-405 Improvement Project app includes quick access to current traffic conditions, closures and detours, along with project updates and links to contact the project team. The app is available for download on the Apple Store or Google Play. Construction is occurring along the entire stretch of the I-405 so drivers should watch for detour signs.
